小さいシカを作った！

Yay!  This is my second little stuffie from the book 手のひらサイズのぬいぐるみ, a little deer made from the pattern for some strange Neopet deer type creature.  I just used the basic pattern for the body, and ignored everything else about putting on all this weird fur and changed the colours and fabrics.  I changed the eyes too, in the book they are like this deer here, also made from the same pattern.  I used safety eyes but I chopped the steem off the back, and glued them on. 

I'm quite pleased with how he turned out, except the ears seem a bit weird, maybe too big?  My sister keeps saying that it looks weird and not right...  But it's meant to be out of proportion and have a big head, right?  Anyway, I think I may have stuffed the ears too much (it did say to stuff them) but that's something I can easily change next time around.  Also, sorry there's not more pictures.  I wanted to photograph him on some nice green grass, but it's the middle of summer so all the grass around here is mostly dry and brownish!

Anyway, please let me know what you think, and whether I should resize or place the ears differently next time!

Oh my god!! This little deer is so cute!!! I think I like this much better than the chihuahua (although the dog was cute too!) But I just love what you did with the deer!
I dont know if I'd change anything about the way you made this deer. I've seen these before and the head usually is bigger, and I think with the ears and the way you made its eyes gives this little deer some very cute character!! :) Sometimes I think some of the cutest things people make are the ones they dont always think came out perfect!

I love this one!! Great job! :D

Thanks so much, I'm glad you like the ears and head, hehehe. And yes, I prefer the deer to the chihuahua but I made him first because he had the photo explanation in the book ;)

I LOVE him. I wish I was clever enough to make little fiddly things like that!
Me personally I might do his eyes differently, but thats not saying they're not adorable as they are! : )

Thanks! Yeh I just stuffed them cos that's what it said to do in the book, but then it also said to put wire in them and I didn't do that. I didn't stuff the chihuahuas' ears, so I don't think I'll stuff the next deery's ears and see how that looks ;)
